Digital radios

[night cycler]

I wanted a bit of advice regarding one of these type of radios.
I bought one (Chinese). It was impossible to set up. I don't mind setting the various stations, but setting up is over my head.
So does anyone know if all digital radios need to be set up before using it please.

In what way are you struggling? Do you not know what you are supposed to set up, or do you know what you need to do but can't access it through clunky buttons and menus?

Digital, as in DAB?

Digital, as in a 2 way radio on FUSION, MotoTRBO, etc?

The one in our car was just the same as a normal one I.e go into the menu, select auto scan or auto tune, then press and hold a memory or number button to save that preset

Thank you Andy. I did try to set it up, but it was too complicated. I could not complete the process. Do all of these radios need to be set up?

You just scan for all available stations

DAB radio. The instruction sheet was massive it seemed to be about one full&half of A4 instructions, then the same amount with other instructions on the back. The Chinese had done their best to translate but there was no chance to relate it to the radio. I took it back for a refund.

If you get another make sure it has DAB+ as a number of stations are only available on such. Pure and Roberts are generally regarded as making the better ones.

This looks nice, no instructions though, no complicated buttons.
