Most amusing. Sarkozy's stature (or lack thereof) is a standing joke...
Further to Dayvo's remark, supposedly Sarkozy does (or did) stand on a box when making a public address (when he's behind a lectern) if there are people alongside him on the stage. I have no idea if it's true or not, but he is a short arse (though not titchy) and does have a bullish attitude... so I could well imagine he has short man syndrome.
I confirmed (to myself) that the letter exchange was a have because of the ability of both parties to sign their respective names in exactly the same way each time!
