Yeh, I had to get up from the floor - I'd fainted.

The wheels are 559's and the Raceblades are designed for 700c, hence the large gaps - esp the back.
Very little goo gets on me, particularly after I extended the front on the front 'blade with some dpc. before that, I used to get a faceful!
An hour with a few baby wipes and the bike will be gleaming.

Hour with baby wipes? Should only take a few minutes

I've just noticed this is a single-speed - what gear ratio did you use and what sort of speed do you average over your 20 mile run?

74 inch fixed. Don't have a computer, but I would imagine 17 - 20 mph. Route is quite undulating east/west west/east, so subject to prevailing wind help/hindrance too. Although fixed into a wind is quite a bit easier and faster than on a geared bike.
