The cyclists that upload 80% trash to YouTube tend to be the ones with the fewest hits / subscribers compared to guys like you Gaz but it still doesn't take away from the fact that positively or negatively, it gains them attention and focus from the better, more well known cam cyclists out there. If they go on to increase their YouTube figures then they'd consider it a good way to start!

Anyway, there's some good to be taken out of it. You've gotta have some douchebags on there to show the difference between good + evil. It's like He-man all over again.

Entertainment is the thing for a lot of youtubers, swearing is why I get a lot of views but the above, if said, would not be entertainment

Because there are a lot of camera cyclists that are obsessed with and driven by upping their subscribers, comment count and hits. I'm a camera cyclist and have posted a few videos, mainly fun little montages that I made for me if I enjoyed the ride and wanted to share something.

For some others, they know that being a knob will attract bad attention but attention nonetheless. What's worrying is that they're sad enough to prioritise meaningless numbers over real-life road safety.
