Disc brake or not?

At a rough guess that would cost me @ £5000 not including the cost of the brakes .

Zipp, enve, fwd, reynolds, mavic all do disc brake wheels in clincher and tubs.

Theres also the handbuilt option with chris king, royce, hope hubs, as well as the novatec option for the commuter/winter wheels too. Even better still is none of them will suffer from rim wear in the soggy winter weather from salt, road grime.

Another advantage with discs is the ability to use fancy, "summer" wheels all year round.
You'll not be grinding the rims away in the rain and the mud.

What are your recommendations?If I was in his position,I would be thinking about the giant defy advanced 1,full ultegra,disc brakes.Im very happy wiyh my 2014 defy1 so roughly basing my thoughts on that

Yeah I think my next bike might be a Giant. They're prices are pretty good and I like new colours. Buuut i m not a big fan of those sloping top tubes and prefer (if i have ti have sloping) the curved top tubes of Specialized.
