I saw the BM Topfire helmet LEDS and thought they were a nice idea but reviews have proven that the fact they arent waterproof might not be the best thing for using on a bike!

So i went searching on ebay for maybe building my own cheaper alternative (prettyboytim - have you done anything like this yet?).

I came across _THESE_ . My SPD shoe's laces are fraying a bit because they keep getting caught on the velcro strap. I wonder what these would look like if you used them cycling at night .

I saw some of these when I was in the town centre last weekend.
Not sure how "tie-able"/flexible they are though. The ones I saw were about £4/5.

I think cars would be more likely to drive into you with these on. They would be so busy trying work out what was going on with your laces they'd forget to steer away!
