My son sets off for school about five minutes before I head off to work.

The first part of my route is about one mile steep down hill, but have to go carefully due to school run traffic.

As I'm going downhill this morning there's a car at a side road acting strangely, he's reversing away from the junction. I'm keeping a close eye, worried about myself and also about a lad with his back to me trying to cross the junction.
Lad then turns round and shouts "hello mum"!

I was so surprised (I hadn't realised it was him) but worried even more by strange car, but going too fast to do anything other than shout "CAREFUL" into the wind!

Ho Hum! That is all. Funny hoe little things can put you off!

It is funny when you see your own kids out and about and don't recognise them for a moment.

Trials of parenthood.

Our daughter (20) just came back from Bulgaria and showed us a clip of her doing a bungee jump off a bridge. OK you think, it is all safety checked and double checked. Then the shot pans round to see this is off what looks like a motorway bridge with all the cars still on it!!
