looking forward to this, does speak of being cold but sunny, so leggings will be out.

How does everyone feel about a slightly earlier start, say 9.30? That way we ought to be able to get the first hundred in before lunch

. Seriously though it might make sense, let me know what you all think.

i have just seen this and in case you are wondering who i am, i will be the one at the back! i must admit though, if it is icy or really bad rain or something then i would have to give it a miss but as long as the weather is good, im in:smile:

Yes, but only cos you are knackered from riding to get here. Sorry it doesn't work for you Tompy but I think you will find that most if not all forum [and club] rides are several hours in length, if they were any shorter, in my case at least, the rides would be less interesting and cafe stops would be harder to source.
Can't think of much better ways of spending a day than riding my bike, even went out briefly at lunchtime today.......ok maybe that was a mistake, but an interesting one.

Thanks A-D, you setting off at midnight Ian? Unless anyone has any violent objections let's aim to leave at 9.30.

9.30 is fine by me - and my new light has finally turned up, so if it does get dark I can test it out. I'm going to start commuting next week, so if the weather is a bit chilly then that will be a nice test for me.

No worries, I've just got a lot on at the moment so would prefer a half-day ride.

Our usual club ride starts at 9am and we're home by 2pm and that includes a cake stop.

Yes ditto for our club run, forum rides are usually a fair bit slower to cater for a wider spread of abilities, often those new to a forum ride have never ridden in a group before. They are very good for picking up tips both on riding, position on the bike and sometimes how to fix things if they go wrong.
