Apparently it's due to bring several million in to Weston's economy. Which is good because no-one visits any more.
I wonder how much it will bring to Banksy's economy too.

Kinda hate it, but kinda love it too.
However, they are not 'works of art', they are the indulgences of people with time and money to burn.
In the case of Jimmy Cauty, quite lidderally.

I will be going but hopefully to one of the Friday night music ones. Tickets are a nightmare it seems as the website is crapola. You can just roll up and queue also. A few mates have got invites to the private party tonight. Not at all jealous

Agreed and he is not even dead yet!

I find it slightly ironic that his anti capitalist and anti establishment art has brought him so much wealth. However, I do appreciate his work and the fact that he does not copyright it - even though that means others also getting wealthy from it. At least he sees this 'failure'. I wonder if he is going to do something spectacular with his wealth - I don't mean buy a ferrari, but something more altruistic.

...and for all that I find him a bit obvious in my darker moments, his works are several times more likeable than those of Richard Prince, for example.

Looks like the website might be a gag, and the queueing is part of the whole Dismal experience.
So did anyone else go? It did wonders for Weston. Hotels booked out, A-listers flying over.

Apparently last week they stuck a bloke on the big wheel on his own and left it running for hours.
Yep!
