We try to grow strawberries in our garden.

Last year, the bastard squirrels got them all by chewing through the plastic fruit netting we put over them.

So this year we have constructed a squirrel proof cage of chicken wire.

£20 for timber, £30 for chicken wire. Strikes me we could by an awful lot of strawberries from Tescburys for £50...

Did you not consider simply shooting the little critters and using them as fertiliser?

I've just spent 5 days putting a fence around our veg patch to stop our 2 "free-range" hens from scratching up everything my wife has just planted!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Squirrels eat everything. Horrible little buggers. They have had all my strawberries before now. I have 2 air rifles.....
