i'm not sure if that's on my commute home or not (i've never done it in daylight), but worrying nonetheless…

If you ride +/- chinatown & through the middle of the old bit of Manchester Uni, down the back of the newer Uni buildings & MRI largely parallel to Oxford Road just a block to the north and eventually dropping you out pretty much onto Kingsway then yes.

its the less bike popular stretch of road to the periphery of studenty areas than Oxford Road, bit faster moving and narrower, less margin for error. Not somewhere I particularly like to ride, Lived just off Hathersage Road for a while & never used that stretch of UBS if I could avoid it.

I'm on it every day, It's quite a good bit of road, fast and without too many junctions. The only slight issue is getting into the third lane to go straight on to North campus when most of the traffic is turning left.

I'm on a British racing green, Thorn rohloff. Wave if you see me!
