DIY...my style

Just went to hang a photograph in the living room. I don't know about you all, but it's a nightmare extricating any tools in my house. I've got a cupboard thats so full of bike bits, decorating gear and tools..its a nightmare finding anything.
So....i just hung a picture with a picture hook.....and a suspension seatpost

Needs must eh...

Am i the only one ?

Nah. I have many duplicates amongst my tools because sometimes it is quicker to go out and buy a duplicate than to spend hours trying to extract them from my sons' rooms or random places where they deposit them.

I once rang my son in Sheffield to ask where my socket set was and 20 minutes later he appeared on our doorstep brandishing it having lent it to a friend that he happened to be visiting round the corner when I rang him - the git.

My cycle tools are nicely organised in a Evans carrier bag, however a hammer hasn't been an essential cycle tool for me and is lacking from my collection. The last time i needed a hammer was whilst assembling my wine rack. I found my guitar amp foot pedal made a worth substitute....

Over the years I've accumulated huge No's of tools and have now made up a seperate lot for upstairs for the boys. Officially this resides in their modelling area in the loft, in reality I don't have a clue. I have the main/best tools in the garage and a more limited selection in utility and kitchen. Woe betide any of the kids if I find downstairs tools not put away.

Is there a silhouette in pen to make sure they've been put back the right way round? Even on the bottom of the drawers?

Most of my tools are at work but have got enough to get by at any given time and I can usually find them after a bit.

No I drew body outlines, crime scene style, on the garage floor to illustrate to them the likely outcome.........like an extra Xmas present
