For my forthcoming summer bicycle bimbles round England:
I have maps ready, and they fit rather nicely on this holder I fashioned today from
1) An old clip board, that has been hanging round my office for a decade.
2) Saw the end off, and patch up with gaffer tape
3) Attach to front of handlebar bag (the see-through 'map holder' top of which is not big enough for my mapular needs) using silicone strap bough off eBay 5 yrs ago and a spare allen key
4) Hold the bottom of it in place with my bar extender
5) Elastic doodaa from god knows where to provide 'keep map in place' extra security
6) Hey presto!

Is the map big enough not to require searching for one's reading glasses?
Might copy your idea on my next outing

Fine for me, anyway. I've printed out the bits I need on A4, and folded them in half (so = A5).
I tried with the clipboard at full size, but i felt it blocked my view or road/bike/wheel too much

But Fnaar, what will happen if it :rain:?
I was thinking the same thing!

A good bit of improv there, what about laminating the maps? but I'm worried about wind..... (no not that sort) what is its design speed, wont the wind rip it off on a good descent
