Do drivers really need this?

I hope Im wrong about this, hopefully some sort of fake vid... but it seems that Golf GTI drivers can now compose music by they way they drive.

Drive smoothly and its relaxing, drive like a loon and its rave music. At the moment it seems like its just for the GTI, but that's sure to be the thin end of the wedge. Wont take long for a stand alone app to be written and used in every black Corsa with a boom tube in the boot.

Isnt there enough thing to distract a driver, without this?

Having just been in the right hand lane of a 40mph dual carriageway, and had a Golf hare up behind me at 70, slam on the anchors, try intimidation, then undertake me, I'd say the addition of a mobile phone app is the least of anyone's problems.
Such an app would appeal to the usual penis wavers who are already driving way beyond their talent.
It'll make no difference.

What the app should do is scream "peanut driving!!" both inside and outside the car, and turn all the lights bright pink, then post "I'm a belieber" to the drivers facebook and twitter accounts.
Clearly by stating the film was made in a "controlled enviroment" shows that the makers know the standard of driving is not acceptable on the road, but they know on-the-limit-driving sells cars. Sadly dangerous driving is acceptable in our society, check out how maany likes it got on uTube. I wonder what the cival aviation authority would say if they introduced such a device for helicopters.

May be vehicles should be fitted a device that automatically plays cliff richards when the speed limit was exceeded.
