A fixed he was doing up. Haven't spoken to him since we finished work.

Just build one up yourself? Not hard, and you will learn how to maintain it, not that you will actually be doing much maintenence on it besides cleaning and oiling the chain:wacko:

Depends.
My good one is worth about 600ish, maybe about £700, maybe abit more:wacko:. But i do have some second hand stuff on there. And it has got stuff on that was on my old fixed.
But before i did that one, when i was shopping around i could have built one up cheaper.
When i get money though, the good fixed is having a front wheel built, ive already got the hub so part way there.

Best thing to do is call up a few local shops that do frames and try and get a deal on some stuff, but also ask around in your club for fixed stuff.
I got some very nice brake levers second hand, i got given some new ones and they arent as comfy. They were on my mess about fixed. Tektro things, not nice compared to my older ones.

I'm going to look into actually now, you might have convinced me ... I've got 8 weeks of nothing much to do so it could give me something to do as well.
How many bikes you got now?

GF has told me no more, i cant afford any more, no real room for anymore, but...............

Its 6 bikes, and 2 with gears, and i dont ride those anymore:laugh:

Remember to get your gearing right, if i were you id start on about 65" and go into fixed slowly. IIRC its abit hilly around you.
