Do I want to do LEJOG?

I can confirm there is an excellent cycle route through Preston which I followed on my recent LEJOG.

I went through Preston both ways last year too and it was fine, even had a night in the travelodge there.
Although the receptionist did manage to double allocate my room, leaving a random family with the unpleasant sight of me stretching off in just my shorts when they walked into what they had been told was their room.
Poor kids have probably been scared for life!

Didn't see a single factory chimney, cloth cap or whippet, just lovely cycle tracks through parks.

My prefrence is sticking to less milage, pick your parts and enjoy the food and scenery around you, its also a holiday too.
