I like the jelly and the meat, its the pastry I leave.

Try this pork pie substitute recipe courtesy of Slimming World. You could probably get away with not bothering with the 'crust' in the oven.

Pork Pie
1 small tin Pek gold
2 slices of wholemeal bread
1 beaten egg
Roll the slices of bread with a rolling pin then use the meat tin as a cutter and cut the top and base out of one slice.
Cut the other slice of bread in half and use the egg to bind and shape it to the Pek.
Cook in the oven on 180 until brown approx. 20 mins
half way through cooking brush with remainder egg to give a pasty glaze.
Enjoy hot or cold.

Pie eating is a broad church. There's room for everyone.

I used to know someone who worked where sausages and pork pies were made. When he told me one of the ingredients that was permitted to be in pork pies but not sausages, I never looked at pork pies the same way again. Still not sure if he was pulling my leg.

You'd be put off a lot of meat based products if you thought too much about them meanwhile I'll contine to enjoy:

Liver
Black pudding
Lambs hearts
Haggis (heart lungs and liver)
Sausages in natural casings (intestines)
Kidney

You forgot ox tongue and sweetbreads.
I quite like all on your list, except lambs' hearts. As for the jelly, I really don't want that crap lining the walls of my arteries, thank-you very much indeed.
