May be she is the spouse of one of those who is obsessed with cycling?

Yes she is the woman in the article which she wrote herself, I remember at the time she was banging on about cyclists saying that her husband was a cyclist, I think she said she cycled herself also.

I bet she always takes the car when she goes away and her husband doesn't complain about her being a motorist.
Ah but all motorists are making essential and worthwhile journeys whilst cyclists are inevitably making frivolous and vexatious trips like wanting to go somewhere in the Lake District when you get there.

Perhaps she doesn't realise that complaining about your husband's cycling is letting everyone know she isn't getting the benefit of those strong leg muscles when he decides to ride the old bike...

Mouth for hire Angela Epstein has become the latest celebrity opinionist attacking cycling with appearances on ITV and in the Telegraph. Graduating with an English degree Epstein has no expertise in law, road safety, engineering, policing or neurology to explain why periodically she is given a platform to agitate for cycle licensing, insurance, testing and compulsory helmets.

Its seems she and her like minded associates seem to want to treat cyclists the same as motorists i.e. insurance tax etc. We are not motorists and much more vulnerable
If cyclists are to be treated this way then why not pedestrians..... they can be deemed to cause accidents.......yes its all too ridiculous.
We should have statuary regulations whereby the larger vehicle should be deemed responsible for any incident. In this way we would be all responsible for the more vulnerable road users. Guess that such a proposed legislation would cause an outcry among the majority of motorists but it would in my opinion greatly reduce road deaths, especially amongst children.
The powers that be while paying 'lip service' to the benifits of cycling are doing precious little to create any sort of infrastructure where it can flourish !

A little off piste here, sorry rant over a I'll get me coat!

So husband of writer that specialises in complaining about cyclists, takes up cycling. Either:
a) she is making it up
b) he is doing it to get back at her, and she hasn't twigged yet.

Only answers that are also vowels can be accepted.

My Missus has an upcoming article in The Guardian, complaining that I'm so obsessed with sleeping at night time that I sometimes ignore her for as much as 8 hours a night.
