Most women I know (or have known....) prefer a trim at the bare minimum and like the fact that the man has made the effort themselves (lots of hypocritical blokes around apparently). I've only met one person who didn't like it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Men are supposed to have hair, for goodness sakes.

The only thing I'd add? Don't shave your legs, guys, either! I still think that's very weird.
