Clamber into train (usually with god awful clunky mtb)
Use train for 99.9% of your journey.

Cry to all and sundry in your special space in the office
"One hell of a ride in today, boys..."

repeat for homewards...

Jeez if you are going to commute try and convince yourself that mileage over 20 miles and loads more isnt a death sentence.

Well if they're doing 2 miles cycling and still 99.9% of their journey on the train, I'd cut them a little slack.

I'm not up for a ~2000 mile commute.

An old colleague of mine was this person....despite his denials. A constant stream of train timetables in his mail tray eventually got the message through that he wasn't fooling anyone.

I do that at the weekend when I have to be in for 7:00. I do always cycle home though.

I used to use the car to travel to work (5 miles each way, taking about 30 mins), then I bought hybrid and take on average 17-18 mins each day.

I get fitter, sleep better in the nights, I also don't have to worry about parking when I get to work as I place my bike in the basement leading to my office and lastly it don't cost me anything in parking or diesel anymore
