I work on my own for myself so obviously I do not, however at a lot of companies I work for there is often what I call a skiver who is happy to waste time chatting.

Yep. Amazing how difficult it is to sack someone these days.

Plenty of lazy ones, but also plenty of great colleagues that are pleasure to work with

If I wasn't married to the boss I would have been sacked years ago.

Not so much lazy, but there is one person who is less proactive when it comes to keeping busy. Most of us, when the main job is done, will find something to sweep or tidy, or another little job to do, but he's happy to just sit and drink tea.

I'd like to sit and drink tea too, but I feel I ought to be doing something. Still, I know that those of us with greater work ethics don't go unnoticed, so we're appreciated.

I don't think that any of my current work colleagues are lazy, though in the past I have worked in a team where there was one member who constantly chatted to numerous girlfriends and tried to avoid work if he could.

I can think of a few lazy sods I've encountered over the years. Provided there are no underlying or welfare issues affecting performance I have no time for those individuals who are happy to be carried by the rest of the team.
