if you keep far enough back then you give space and there is nop reason to worry. I know how much i like people to hang back if i cycle through a lot of solid white line areas.

I don't mind which as long as they give me plenty of room and do whatever they are doing safely and decisively. I had a driver tonight who kept pulling level with my back wheel then backing off. I saw a car parked up the road about 50 yards but didn't dare pull into primary as I wasn't sure what the guy behind me was doing. eventually decided discretion was the better part of valour and pulled off the road to let him pass.

The ones that annoy me (although not more than the dangerous idiots) are those who sit 100 yards behind you, refusing to overtake when it's perfectly safe to do so. You can just hear their engine and tyres, rolling along, never coming closer. Like a government spy, watching you.

It's bloody annoying.

Once upon a time when I used to go everywhere on my old MTB i'd just mount the verge and let 'em get on with it.

Don't do that on the roadie so have been increasingly aware of creepers. Gives me the proper chills just thinking about it.

At least a zoomer will have the decency to knock you in the hedge and that will be that. I sense a creeper would drag you under the wheels for ten miles and not even realise!

If stuck with a creeper on my tail, I just imagine it's because they're admiring my superbly toned rear-end and my prowess in the saddle.

I've not had them creep past closely. I have a lot who slow right down, whilst also giving me a wide berth. I like that.

What i do *not* like is those who whip past at 60 giving me barely any space - nor do I like my colleague who, as she comes up behind me, beeps really loudly. Scares the **** out of me - I just don't know why she does it.
