Do you use Quidco?

If not why not!?

I've been registered with this cashback website over the last year or so. Over the last year, by purchasing insurance, electrical items etc via the quidco website (always checking that I have got a good deal in the first place of course!) I have managed to save £250 (I've just been checking!)

It is especially good for making savings on house and car insurance.

So who else uses this site or others like it and how much have you saved?

I use it. Just checked and I've made £140 so far, all things I would have bought anyway. I've also registered with topcashback.com but the transaction I tried on Sunday didn't track.

I use iPoints which is a similar reward type thing. By purchasing insurance etc. we built up a nice wadge of iPoints which got turned into £150 of Amazon vouchers and helped purchase my PS3.

Same thing as a Nectar card, isn't it?

No. You get real money. For example I changed gas and electricity supplier not too long ago. I looked on the comparison sites and went for a fixed cost deal (thank goodness I did). Scottish Power were the cheapest for me. I then went onto quico and checked to see if they were on the site and they were. Just a couple of days ago I had £75 deposited into my bank account, just for switching and doing it through quidco.

Quidco takes £5 out of your earnings each year. That is it. You get the rest. It really is a no brainer!;)

Hm. Interesting. I'd never even heard of them before I read this thread. Never seen any ads on TV or anything.

Aye, it works very well. When you click an advert on a website and purchase something as a result money flows back to the site where the advertising was placed. Quidco is an 'advertiser', however, they only take £5 off the top once a year and the rest the the revenue flow comes back to you.

If I am buying something off the net I generally find the cheapest place and then check if Quico cover them. If they don't I go down the list until I find the cheapest that is on quidco. I then comapre the quidco company cost (minus the saving) with the cheapest non quidco. More often than not the quidco retailer wins.

Give it a go, you have nothing to loose and a lot to gain!

I've heard of it before but never really bothered with it. Just ha a browse now and signed up. Somewhat disappointed that Wiggle and CRC aren't on it but Evans are .

Still, I do use Play.com quite often so might get something out of that!

You can leave the bank account details blank until you have earned enough to be paid out. For security reasons there's a delay between adding/changing the bank details and making a payment so bear this in mind.

I just wanted to revive this thread, because I noticed that a lot of old threads here bemoan the lack of online cycle stores on Quidco.

Here's the current list that could be useful for cycling kit:

Halfords - 5% (if you register your long credit/debit card number with Quidco they'll even track instore purchases)
eBay - 40% of eBay's commission
Wiggle - 2%
Chain Reaction Cycles - 4%
Evans - 3%
Cycles UK - 3% for bikes on sale / 5% for full priced bikes / 5% for accessories on sale / 8% for full priced accessories
AW Cycles - 5%
Buy Buy Bicycles - 10%
Hargroves Cycles - 2%

Some seem small, but it adds up over time

My work colleague (single so has plenty of money to spare for shopping ) has used it for years and some months gets over £100 back. I think I read that the average annual payout is £450.

You'll be surprised how many well known companies are on there.
