I bought a copy on a whim (an expensive whim) in Condor the other day. It's nicely presented, and evokes fairly well the specialness and mystique of cycling culture... but I thought that most of the writing and photography wasn't as quite as good as it ought to have been to merit such lavish presentation. And it only lasted me an afternoon.

And £9 a go? Strewth, the equivalent hi-fi magazine is only a fiver! Perhaps I ought to be charging the people I've lent it to?

I bought one copy to read an article written by Robert Millar. The Millar article was excellent, but the rest of it was style over substance in the extreme.

Hmmmm, something with a French title, sold in Condor and designed to evoke the 'specialness and mystique of cycling culture' sets my pretentious-crap-ometer off. Does it come with a Rapha bookmark (rrp £25) hand-tooled from the skin of ex-pros?

I've been tempted by Rouleur, on occasion, but never actually stumped up for one.

I have read the Ride Journal, which I quite liked - great photography (in issue two at least) and I enjoyed most of the articles.

Issue one is a available as a free pdf;

Last order I had delivered from Prendas Ciclismo had a sampler copy of Rouleur - it was very nice and stylish but there's no way I'd stump up the dosh they're asking for a full copy!
