Merida make a lot of good bikes. I know a few F1 drivers train on them! Although they use road bikes.

I know some riders like to train on a slower bike and feel faster on race day with their top ride, but these F1 drivers are taking it a bit far.

I follow Fernando Alonso and Timo Glock, and they regularly do 160km rides in about 3 1/2 hours....

Merida are good quality well built, well equipped. They have proven race pedigree from XC and enduro scenes. Their lightweight carbon mtb frame was one of the first to go under the 1kg barrier. In terms of quality and componentry they will compare favourably with Trek, Giant and Spesh.
