Does anyone shop at Iceland Foods? Anything you would recommend ?

I use them for chicken wings and their ridiculously crispy chips, but not really anything else. Being over 60 you can get a 10% discount on Tuesdays.

Same here. Their various battered and breaded frozen chicken things are better than Aldi's. Chips and roast potatoes are on par with Aldi's... but the tiger bloomer loaves tend to have a good 6-7 days on the best before date, whilst at Aldi you're lucky to get four days. I also prefer Iceland's white thick sliced loaf to Aldi's.

The ready meals have always disappointed me, but so do Aldi's.

Used to use Iceland until the local branch closed due to redevelopment.
Now that to only other branch is a bike ride into the city, only use it when necessary.

I probably pop into an Iceland once a month when the freezer is running low to give it a top up. Most of the big brands frozen things they sell (e.g. Birds Eye, Youngs) are typically slightly more expensive than other supermarkets when not on offer, but you'll regularly find them doing a buy three for the price of two, or buy 4 for £10 etc. that will bring the prices down to less and those are what I always aim to pick up.

Someone earlier mentioned their Ridiculously Crispy chips - that's not just a description, that's what they are branded as, and they are very good (especially the skin-on variety). They also offer brands that other shops don't, or ones where they offer a much wider range than supermarkets. For example I bought a cheese and bacon potato hash last month that was branded as 'Cathedral City' that I haven't seen elsewhere and that was pretty good.

Suffice to say i won't be in a rush to go back.
Something that really annoys me is eg buy 1 for £5 or 3 for £12. I'm a single guy, I dont want 3!!!
They did have frozen peppers and frozen onions which I bought...... Aldi sell them but they're never in stock.

I've not been in there for ages as they started getting expensive, but if you look at the offers carefully they're sometimes 3 from a few different items, not always three of only the same thing.

So on the offer you can have a bag of southern fried chicken nuggets, a bag of buttermilk chicken nuggets, and a bag of chicken nuggets in breadcrumbs, what more could you ask for? 🤣
