.... a wrestle?

Has been 4 days and no cigarettes (going cold turkey, no patches or gum) so feeling like a bit of a scrap!

any volunteers?

Its been about 32 years since I beat the weed, keep at it Wigsie you can do it. Now's the time to start training, take out your aggression on the turbo or the bike.

Hang on in there!

It's not a matter of indecision.

You have decided not to buy or smoke cigarettes for four days. Now make the decision never to buy or smoke them again. There's no half measures.

My decision was made for me when I got a proper dose of flu and was bedridden for four days and couldn't get downstairs to have a cigarette. Have lasted four days without them I lit one up and after smoking a quarter of it threw it away recognising the risks to non-smoking status it posed. The subsequent nicotine rush was so unpleasant that there and then i vowed never to smoke another cig, crushed the packet and it's contents and six years later here I am porkier but a lot fitter than I was as a smoke.

Didn't quite reach 25 stones though I might manage that this Christmas if I don't lay off the food

I'll wrestle ya!

Packing up smoking. The best thing you could have done.I did it 40yrs ago.I used to smoke Senior Service,Players Navy Cut and Capstan Full Strength 20-30 a day, also Dutch Master Cigars and for a while a pipe and did so for best part of 6yrs.You will taste your food for what it is,smell a whole lot nicer and when you have cleared the SH*T from your lungs you will be a force to be reckoned with on your bike.KEEP AT IT,it's not easy, but well worth it.Happy & Safe Riding to you All.

Well done wigsie - I chucked the fags (cigarettes!) about seven years ago, stick with it.
On the fighting front I reckon I could take you, so come and have a go, etc...

Wigsie, bare no heed to those that mock, for they themselves have probably failed & are drowning in their remorse.Their only defence is to attempt to castigate you for your efforts to make yourself A TOTALLY NEW PERSON.Ride Forth with your fingers in the reversed GESTURE of VICTORY instead of holding a fag.If your weight increase in the early days is a problem CHEAT and BUY THAT LIGHTER BIKE SOONER.It will be less expensive and healthier in the long term.Happy & Safe Riding to you All.Oh and healthier WITHOUT FAGS.

Keep at it ... I've been off them nearly eight weeks now and it's worth it. I went cold turkey, same as you - for me, the patches and gum are just another way for someone to make money out of you.

Just keep eating, build up to sumo proportions before you go for the wrestling!!

Well done on the quitting, hang in there this has been my 2nd smoke free Xmas and I'm a loving not having to nip out in the cold very hour or so.

You are more than halfway through the toughest week of your quit now, all the nicotine has now gone from your system. Just remember that cravings pass, and are not life threatening.
