Im considering a new bike to use for weekend rides maybe a sportive or two & occasional commute but no serious racing etc. So comfort is a thing as well as a decent level of quality. I would also like disc brakes and all for £1000 or under. Does it exist and what should I be looking at ?

Stick some 25mm road tyres on and it's a good road bike too.
Able to fit mudguards too.
I've had mine for over a year and now wouldn't be without it.
