The older cats are worth far more than newer ones due to the precious metals inside, best ones appear to be 1996 till 2002 by which time the manufacturers had worked out how to make them cheaper & get the ECU to cheat the tests.

I'd be more worried about someone nicking your fuel with the cost of it nowadays, and the prevalence of plastic tanks. Some cars more vulnerable than others.

Any fuel thieves would be disappointed with what they'd get out of my tank as I always keep my fuel tanks around a quarter full. Not that it'd save me much as I'd have to get a new fuel tank no matter what.

Well, If my car was to be stolen the thieves wouldn't get too far, unless they topped it up of course, but I think most would just abandon it. Also, would I like to have a serious accident with a full petrol tank ready to burst into flames...I think not!

I've always preferred small cars. I've owned 'big saloons', but like someone once said (maybe it was me🤔
) it's like driving a car with a settee in the back when there's only 2 of you in the front. Why all that space when there's only 1 or 2 (2 in my case a dog) of you who sit in the car.🤔

A full tank has less fumes, and is therefore safer than a quarter full tank.

Friend of mine had her Honda cat nicked a couple of weeks ago. Shoved an industrial bin against the door of their salon so they couldn't get out, jacked the car up in front of them and chopped it off.
Earlier Honda cats are apparently worth a small fortune.
