I have:
  • Ting Tong (my Ti bike)
  • Regina the Recumbent
  • Suzie the Singlespeed
  • Dottie the Dutch Bike
  • Fiona Folder
  • Marina (the Marin Palisades MTB)
I also have Priscilla (Queen of the Desert) which is my BushTrekka trailer. She and Regina are a double act at times.
Goodness me. A bike for every mood and every day of the week!

Only the expedition bikes we purchased for a our world tour have names in this household - yet. Mine is "Original Cindy" (sometimes Original Cin) and my husband's is "Aeryn Sun". Explanations probably would not survive the moderators!

The other bikes have yet to inherit names, though Jadzia is a consideration for my mountain bike.

Well that's wrong: Frankenstein was the name of the scientist, not the creature.
In Mary Shelley's novel it is referred to as either the creature or the monster.

Yeah, I know, but Frankenbike's Monster didn't have the same ring to it...

3 bikes... 2 generally have no names, but occasionally I make them up for threads like this, but I won't today.

But my latest edition, a Revolution tourer from Edinburgh bikes (motto: "the Revolution will not be motorized") is called Gil, in honour of Gil Scott-Heron (famous track: "The Revolution will not be televized").
it's also a sideways nod to Gilberto Gil, Brazilian musician.

My bike is called Vicky (Vicky the Viking.... Remember the series? no oh well) I tried to rename it Kirk (again Vikings being the link) as I thought it needed a more masculine name but it never stuck....

My wife's Raleigh Caprice is called Dorothy (basket on front etc...)

Her recently acquired 1980's Raleigh Racer seems to have got the name Melanie from me as I watched the 80's film Working Girl the day before we picked it up.... (Mrs V thinks I'm quite strange but nothing new there)
