While at york cycle show my Dogcam MiniDVR1 died. It turned out the USB jack had separated from the PCB and the pins are too small and fiddly to solder back on and thus the DVR is now an expensive paperweight. I think I handled it a bit rough and did not realise how fragile it was. Anyway i'm now looking for a new DVR for the worlds on the 1st july. I still have a sony HQ2 cam which is great. I have looked at the Dogcam HQR1 and HQR2 and while they look good and more robust they seem very expensive and don't have playback. Can anyone recommend any other DVRs which are robust and won't break on me?
