Commuting home today, using the new Roadrat single-speed for the first time this week. Catch up a lady on a road bike, traffic is heavy so am sensible and follow. When we get to a particular set of lights where the road opens up afterwards she files in behind a.n.other cyclist.

Without being rude I use this opportunity to take middle of road position and aim to easily be first away. Lights turn, no problem, off I go easily in front, then after about 25m I hit a sweet run of bumps and rough bits and my chain jumps off. Doh. Que knob-head at the side of the road trying to put his shiny chain on whilst other cyclists trundle off.

i was trying to track stand at some lights earlier and failed BADLY! got my foot caught under my mud guard and very nearly went ass over head!

At a set of lights yesterday a chap was trying to do this balancing act on his road bike in the green cycle box. He was determined not to fail and because he was so shite at balancing, rather than admit defeat, he ended up cycling in circles around the box twice before the lights changed. Poltroon.

haha i've seen that done by a de ver cyclist.. it was mostly funny because he didn't have his jersey on but i still recognised him!
