Surprised you went for the disk wheel on the hill climb!
Haven't compared in equal conditions, but I would imagine there is little in it and it would be weather dependant. I have done the climb with disk and trispoke with aero lid and later in the year on normal road wheels with road helmet, I went a lot faster on the normal wheels etc, but there was a mega tail wind that day (so I might actually have been better off with the aero kit).
I would guess the choice comes down to conditions. If the weather is crap you might be better with light wheels and punching up to Walker Barn as fast as possible and surviving to the end, on a fast day you might be better with aero wheels and keeping the powder dry up the 1st part then smashing it on the rolling and draggy sections.
In this video at 22:20 you will see me overtake the helmet cam racer:

If she'd taken it in landscape then she might just have squeezed you in!View attachment 41271
Derwent duathlon. Obviously going too fast for the autofocus on my wife's phone to handle![]()
Ha ha - it certainly looks that way, but TBH I was concentrating more on the road than the fact that Biscuit had a camera trained on me! I think it is because the skin is a bit loose on my face now I have lost so much weight. There were a few other photos taken on the day that looked similar and I wasn't even aware that the pictures were being taken.
