Just fitted a set of Hope Pro2 Evo hubs to the commuter, what a noise ! Every time i start coasting on the shared use paths everyone for about 100 yards looks around.
Anybody know if they get any quieter ?

They probably won't get quieter.

the freewheel on my halo Freedom Disc was very loud with a harsh mechanical sound, after about 1000 miles it quietened down some & lost its harshness. It's certainly not quiet but much more pleasant to freewheel with.

Hope hubs buzz like crazy. I'd just fitted some Pro 3 hubs which I'm really looking forward to hearing.

I love the almost silent noise of a bike on the rare occasion you get to hear it and nothing is rattling or creaking, them clacking freewheels do my head in, why would anyone make something like that, especially on something powered by legs

My Fulcrum 7s are the same - great for letting people know you're there.
Problem is, some cyclists take it as a challenge (or an insult) that you're freewheeling behind them and leads to unintentional commuter racing.

Shimano tend to be whisper quiet. My HED Jets (carbon rims Hope Ti Glide hubs) haven't ever gone quiet, even more so with the whoosh whoosh of the rims. Shame I don't use them much !
