Don't you ever get sick of Cycling to work!

On probably the best day of the year so far and I decided to take one of my better bikes I get to work with a big grin on my face  only to be by an out of breath colleague "I'm knackered, don't you ever get sick of cycling to work ?". My response was "not really, infact I felt like you felt 30mins ago, I'm wide awake now". Then I saw another colleagues receipt for his annual train season ticket, i'm certainly glad I'm not stuck in a box and paying heavily for it.

I can do when a little hungover and tired

Other than that, I'm not going to be insured on a car for summer so I'll have to cycle to work 2/3 days a weeks depending on what I do. I'm looking forward to that as it'll definitely improve my fitness.

Not sure I could bring myself to actually pay to get to work.

On a day like today I wish I brought my bike up to uni  - I'm missing it now.

Never get sick of it.

I don't know how I used to take public transport everyday, I can't even manage 1 day now without getting fed-up.

Best of both worlds here
my daily commute = Cycle-Train-Cycle

It cost me £103.30 a month for the train, The distance and place I have to travel to (Telford) I could never do it for that amount in a car. So no I dont get sick of it and enjoy the extra cash

Yeah so I get the bus !

The 'problem' with my cycle to work thing is that it only takes 25min max, 30 if I was to crawl.

An hours a nice time for a cycle ride or even upto 2hrs...

Nah, like what Thomas says, after a few shandies and feeling tired, you don't feel like it, but it works wonders by the time you arrive. The other option is sit in traffic....

I'm less than a week away from the new bike, so getting a little tired of riding the MTB in at the moment....but I did scalp a guy that RLJ'ed at a major set of lights this am. He took off at a fair pace. Once the lights changed I set off, caught him and another cyclist shortly after, and accellerated past both on an uphill, then promptly locked into a nice 28mph pace on the flat. Needless to say he only caught me when I stopped at the next two light sets...propper scalp...had me grinning...

Funny question, isn't it?

Got asked it the other day, on a glorious sunny morning, and couldn't think of anything to respond with other than "Why would I?"

Went swimming Sunday and it has dried my eyes out so I am off the bike for a couple of days. Days leave tomorrow, then hopefully back to the bike Thursday just in time for the heavy rain which is forecast for the last 2 days this week.

I keep thinking i will, but never do, as a result i have cycled to work every day this year.
I too do the cycle - train - cycle thing, much cheaper than driving.

Cruising along with ease on a MTB at 28 mph on the flat, I bet with knobbly tires too and into that nagging wind thats been around a few days. Most roadies can't do that ,What you on mate 'cause i'll have some.

I can honestly say that I almost always love my cycle commutes. There is always the odd occasion where you look out the window and think, 'oh aye, this is going to be a hard one' (oo-er), but on days like that I find I end up enjoying the challenge.

How many drivers can honestly, hand on heart say they enjoy their commutes. It's madness to drive if you can cycle!

There's a fella on an orange Trek MTB (hardtail) who can keep pace with me at 26ish mph on Wilmslow Road. Don't see him often, but he's bloody fast.

Ever?
Well there's been some mornings when I haven't felt like getting on the bike - hangover/rain/sleet/headwind/overdid it recently - but I pretty much always enjoy it when I do. It only takes a trip on the buis to remind me why cycling is just so much more fun.
