Bad luck mate! It sounds like an open and shut case, however, don't expect it to actually progress like that, as we have found out in another thread..

I hope you heal quickly.

Brief update:

I'm back on the bike! only a month off, and even in 5C drizzle and manchester traffic it's still such a joy compared to the buses. And faster even though I've lost quite a lot of stamina!.

Alyson France have recently contacted me to say their insurers are not contesting liability which considering they get 3 months to make that decision is fast work.

All in all pretty happy this morning!

Good news! Especially the bit about getting back on the bike!

Of course you still have to settle on a figure, which won't happen overnight, but fingers crossed it happens as swiftly as it has up until now!

UPDATE:
It's all over, cheque recieved  Time to start bike/toy shopping.

Considering this was completely uncontested, and the insurers 2nd offer accepted (nearly twice the amount of their 1st offer!) It really is surprising how long it all takes - 7 months or so!

Alyson France %Co were the solicitors I used, and I'd happily reccomend them to anyone else - responsove, efficient and jargon free.

Jake - check the dates.

Glad it's all sorted - hope no long term damage - yeh it takes a long time - I'm still undergoing tests/scans/consultants - mine was over five months ago.......
