Price, if you fit the floor yourself can cost you very little, good idea for spare rooms and bathrooms

Easy to clean, and much better for those with certain allergies - carpets are fabulous for holding on to allergens.

Thought it was the opposite to that , carpets keep the dust in where laminate blows it about!?

Nah. Hard floors are recommended for those with allergies.

OK cool , cant remember where I saw it but blamed the rise of dust allergies or people seeking treatment to the increased use of laminate flooring , was years ago I saw it though .

Neighbours , you can live without!!!! Record all incidents on paper ,dates times etc. Have no verbal contact with this evil cow at all. She sure wont like being ignored. If she reports you to EHO they have to have evidence themselves that you are in the wrong before they can act against you. If you are like you say just living a normal life they wont find anything to throw at you and she will be exposed as a din steering old bag. I know what its like i have an old twisted bag of a neighbour that we just ignore. Gradually folk round about us have realised what she is. She not long ago had a visit from the police and had her car towed away which i witnessed and found highly amusing. Live your life, enjoy your dogs , garden, AC/DC , Manic Street Preachers ( good music tastes btw ) and enjoy " showing off " on your bike . Give her two fingers and if all else fails invite some of us CCers round for a noisy party . That will really give her something to moan about. Keep your chin up pal you've done nothing wrong. Uncle karma WILL get her . That i am sure. All the best , Mike.

HA chap has just been round, he suggested clogs.
He also said that cushion flooring is highly recommended over laminate for people with pets. She has not whinged to the HA at all. She only whinges to us thus confirming the bully mentality. She is not going to complain to the HA, and they now have a list of her complaints made to us over the last 5 months and a proper note of things from our POV. Sadly the silly old bat didn't bang on the ceiling while he was here but we think that she would have seen him come up the front path.
