Grimpeur des terrains plats
Craigwend's (unscientific) 10 random commutes last year (roughly 27.5 miles round trip)
Both with the same rack & pannier (full of work clothes & pack up etc)
Total time in minutes
steel rockhopper (with front suspension) slicks, welll not 'nobblies'
times:
107
109.55
111.43
109.2
104.12
100.07
99.29
99.14
96.21
95.59
Total (rounded up / down) 1030 minutes
steel galaxy
99.47
97.39
100.52
99.23
101.31
99.05
98.29
99.5
100.02
98.55
Total (rounded up / down) minutes 993
This would generally indicate that my galaxy is faster than my rockhopper?
this does not allow for:
random traffic,
bad weather (going slower)
as the year (season) goes on I generally get fitter & faster...
I used the rockhopper mainly for the first part of the year
my fastest time was on the rockhopper - the later 5 times on the rockhopper were as the weather 'warmed' up .
Is this good enough for the BMJ April 1st edition?
