I would very much like to see a numpty driver map with a mark of some kind to denote an incident using different colours to show the varying types of numptiness [I feel this word should be in the dictionary], like say yellow for a close pass, blue for pulling out in front of you, black for being knocked off and red for road rage etc. I'm thinking the Commuting thread might take over a bit but at least we could all look at it and see where it is best to avoid. How about it Shaun?
Interesting idea ... what it might also show would be were there might be a numpty on a bike:whistle:^_^

Are you seriously suggesting there are possible numpties on bikes on CC? Let alone the commuting thread [dives for cover].

Driver attitude to cyclists can be influenced greatly by us cyclists. A thumbs up or raised hand for considerate driving goes a long way to creating harmony on the road. It's the self righteous pedallers who create friction which encourages bad driver behaviour.

I reserve that for the mirror.

Seriously though, men and women's bodies are hugely different in shape. Watch a video with a female cyclist donning the full gear and compare it to a guy in the same kit if you don't believe me.

Lol, that's what I meant when I said it's easy to tell the difference
Also most female cyclists don't look at the other gender with incredulity (like they couldn't quite believe that you are on the road, but not in lycra and not on a racer) or be rather obvious when checking someone out

Well some people do seem to have a lot more incidents than others ... could just be the area or time that they are commuting ... but it might be the person!

Well, as I see it, 'the moron factor' applies to the person, not the mode of transport. Two examples from this week - some silly bint racing to get to the roundabout behind a bus to get into a supermarket car park (obviously never heard of the rule - give priority to traffic already on the RAB) and some Chinese guy trying undertake a left turning bus (I informed him politely that it's better if he waited behind as the bus driver can't see him, so if he carries on he'll get squashed. He did, but then jumped a red light, some people are beyond redemption)

Indeed, there are times when I am left with the preposterous thought that some actively encourage antagonistic behaviour from our fellow road users

Absolutely! I wave to everyone who passes courteously, although this can earn me a clip round the ear depending on who I happen to be smiling waving at.
