I did a 15 mile loop today to test out the mods to road bike , I actually did the work last August but never really got around to sorting it , anyway yesterday I jumped on it and had fine tune it To the 1/8 of a turn to get it right , but it was a dream to ride today !!

, I put a 10 speed 11-36 sunrace cassette on to help the old legs on steep gradients , I had to replace the Ultegra for a 105 longer cage and a Wolfs Tooth Roadlink to help get the chain over the larger 36t cassette , longer chain also , but well worth as I tested it on the short inclines .

I have triple Di2 crankset with 50/36/26. Shimano say XTR will only work up to 34t- yeah

I run a 11-40 rear on XT shadow Di2 for mountains

I've never heard of a Wolfes Tooth Roadlink. What is it?

It's like an extension to the mech hanger, allows the mech to clear a bigger ring on the cassette.

You’ll pay about twenty quid for the Wolf’s Tooth but you can get a an unbranded one for a fiver.

You can just see it in the pic of the wheel , it’s just above the normal nut , a flat looking bolt
