It is for all intents and purposes a motorway for most its length, entirely unsuitable (and downright unpleasant) for cycling.
Sadly, it isn't, so people actually live on parts of it and they should be allowed to cycle to and from their homes.

Also, even bits that are designed near motorway standard are designed to be safe at 70 not 80, so even small accidents at that speed (probably higher, based on people usually rounding down their speed) can leave the road and demolish/destroy/kill random buildings/things/people further away that thought they were safe.

Roll on more average speed camera segments!

It's not ideal but I don't mind it. It just means driving slower, especially if it's raining as well. As someone who also owns a motorcycle with shocking lights, any car is a luxury in comparison.
