It's a bizarre bit of marketing from an era I'd have though "creating demand" out of thin air for daft products was in its infancy. Fair enough I've sometimes worn gloves when it's cold till the car warms up, but they're just old fashioned keep-hands-warm gloves

I did own a pair of those once.....
