Interesting to hear that some people have had reminders when 10 year photograph expired? Never had that.

At age 70, they remind you (via letter, so, only works if you have kept your address upto date, which, of course you have, haven't you), that licence needs to be renewed.

You can renew online, but, BEWARE, if you have "rights", such as for example C1 to drive vehicle over 3.5T, for example, you cannot renew online, you need to have a medical, and renew via the appropriate forms.

After age 70, renewal is every three years.

Yes. Three cards. Driving licence (which is car, plus relevant hgv entitlement, lawnmower etc etc). Digital tachograph card and drivers CPC card.

If you are not carrying your CPC card when driving hgv, you're breaking the law.

I also have to renew my hgv (vocational) entitlement annually, plus have a medical, now I'm over 65

Well got my reminder (that I will be 70 in 3 months time) thru the post today and I promptly and easily renewed my licence via their online portal.

Doesn't time fly as you get older - the last three years have flown by.
So just renewed again as my first 3yr renewal is coming to and end.

I received a reminder to renew my license It’s not due till Feb 1. Renews on line.received today Only took six days including a weekend
