Dropped a Clanger

In light of yesterdays events the public are being urged to be vigilant, report anything suspicious.

Today on Twitter a local Councillor with a reputation for being a bit of a plum tweeted...

"Who's in your street plotting against our good citizens?"

In response to this question one of the good citizens duly replied, "Only the Council."


This was so funny I spluttered half a cup of PG over my keyboard. Do any of you have any other examples of people who drop a clanger by setting themselves up for a fall in that way?

That poor iron chicken, she's always in for a fall.

Nothing stirs my sense of pathos more than an episode of The Clangers.
