I cycle to work every day (as most people in commuting threads do - I'm not asking for medals) only snow and very heavy frost will usually make think twice.. rain? I'm waterproof, bikes waterproof no problem.
But this week I've driven in twice, Thursday I had a real reason (reasons are always better than excuses) in that my car was being M.O.T'd and it was easier to take it to work and get a local garage to come and fetch it and bring it back if it passed instead of hanging around a garage reception biting fingernails on a day off (it did pass... hoorah) I did put the bike in the boot so I could ride home if the car failed deliberately because of the attention the bike gets.
But this morning apart from it was raining and the O.H and littleun didn't need to get up for work and school respectively, so ashamed as I am to admit it I took the easy option of the extra 20 minutes in bed, I promise I won't do it again or it could easily become a habit.
