I've noticed that the Sydney Opera house is called into action when the Thames Flood Barrier is down for maintenance.

Ayers Rock does double duty for Snowdonia during busy periods.

And the Grand Canyon is used a bypass when the roads of Leicestershire become too potholed.

So what other tourist attractions are dual purpose?

The Eiffel and Blackpool towers are obviously interchangeable. There's a foot tunnel between them, but it's rather long and smells of wee at both ends.
