It's obviously an age thing. Modern machines, reliable quick, minimum maintenance etc. but style? To my eyes they cannot compare to Gold Stars, Bonnevilles, Vincents etc. But, as I say, I'm an old fart!

If you define style as massive vibration, oil leaks and unreliabilty then sure....

As a young'n I always fancied an Aerial 4 Square or a Moto Guzzi.
I ended up with a 197 Francis Barnett.

Ooh I forgot, a mile from me is a Ducati/Triumph dealer, a few 100m's away is Guzzi dealer, I don't really like even one bike out of the entire three ranges but the Guzzi dealer produces bespoke models and I do like those, coolio!

difficult choice.

hayabusa (1999) of course, but i have a soft spot for triumph speed triples

however I would love to have a RD250LC again or even an RD125 in white with a red flash on the tank

I bought a brand new 'A' reg RD125LC in Blue with white and grey decals/flashes, I passed my test and bought a second hand RD350LC in white with red flash. I loved both bikes and would love to own one now but prices now on any RD are so high.

Tis true. The visuals of my Bonnie, broken down on the hard shoulder of the M23, en route from collecting it from the dealer, are certainly seared into my memory.

There are some great middle weight "do everything" bikes today but not much that I would want to buy for fun, or to just to look at. Barcelona was full of Mash bikes when I went in June, 125's, 250's & 400's, I didn't see one there 2 years ago yet now they are everywhere, cheap and just what people want. The Chinese plugging a blindingly obvious gap in the market.

New bike, the new triumph trophy, I have a 95 900 tourer but I love the new one.
Classic ? GT 750 Suzuki , KH 1300 Kwacker or a CBX 1000 , I loved the inline 6's ! U.S. Spec Bonnie , Laverda Jota , ooh it's a tough choice. Or an RG 500 two stroke 4 cylinder Suzuki in Texaco Heron colours.

Don't. I've had two. Severely compromised bikes.

Yep. Should have serviced it before it got 15 miles on the clock. Utter, complete, pos. Traded it for a Guzzi V50, once it arrived back at the dealers.
