spin egg on a plate, momentarily put finger on top to stop it, let go, if it doesn't start spinning again it's off

crack it, sniff it, if ok, cook it

Not sure about the duck egg, but I definitely would not eat these three hen eggs! They must've been in my fridge for around 9 to 10 months! Why don't I bin them I hear you ask! Well, they act as a thermometer in my primitive way of doing things. I touch them every day. If they feel cold, that to me means my fridge is cold enough. If they feel slightly room temperature(ish) then my old fridge isn't cold enough.🧐

They'll be fine: I recently boiled and eat eggs that were in my fridge for about 3 weeks.
When I bought them, they were already reduced
If they are off you'd smell it immediately on cracking them open.
