just as I had to leave


Reports have come in that St Andrews was achieved

, though there is no proof yet.


I had to leave the group to their success and glory, as I needed to get back to Edinburgh's version of civilisation before I completed the run

.

Great to see you, Mr Ridley and Sam again and meet a few new faces and it was a most enjoyable ride :-). We did make it to St Andrews; my GPS ran out at about 17miles to go, so I can't give you positive proof but a few other photos were taken of us supping a few beers at the beech; nobody was hardystupid enough to take the plunge ;-)

My thanks to everyone who came with us and made the ride another enjoyable one. We did indeed make it despite the angry dogs, potholes, punctures and DaveH's wheel dropping 5 spokes just before Kingsbarnes.

Thanks to HLaB for putting up with the pace, AndyGates for navigational support and good humour, Will for the singing (sort of), Scoosh for making me paranoid about my saddle height

and, above all, Frood for letting me wake him up at 6am on a Sunday and driving out to meet us with beer and flapjacks.

You're all great company.

Dumb Run VI will be Saturday June 23rd 2012. A good year for Armageddon.

I'd quite like to do this.
Lots.

I've looked at it in years gone by, and stuffed it.
Believe it or not, it's the pic of the jelly babies on the handrail of the Forth Bridge that is the magnet for me.
I want my jelly babies there.

We'll leave a gap in the row this year. Then I'll bring you a photo and point to the gap and say "That should have been yours, there."

Unless it's blowing a howling gale, of course. They won't stand up long enough to take a picture.
