Stair-rods in Dumbarton before the off
Wet for the first half
(until Falkirk)
man at FRB - who just didn't 'get it'
Fire over the Lomond Hills at sunrise
Cool -> chilly most of the time (except Ravenbait, who hadn't switched off her central heating
)
Gentle pace all of the time
just as I had to leave
Reports have come in that St Andrews was achieved
, though there is no proof yet.
I had to leave the group to their success and glory, as I needed to get back to Edinburgh's version of civilisation before I completed the run
.
Many thanks to
- Ravenbait for organising and shepherding this fascinating ride
- Andygates for his pace and refreshments (he's obviously done it before
)
- to Will for giving me an up-close view of 'dancing on the pedals'
- to HLaB for remembering he was not out with the club
I have between now and next year to get my diary better organised ....
